I click the "start or install kubuntu" from the boot menu, and it goes to load then comes back with this message:
ata2.01: failed to set xfermode (err_mask=0x4)

It seens like a known bug. The usual workaround is setting irqpoll on the boot options.

I had the same problem with the Live-cd, but will I get this error after installing with the Alternate Install cd? I Also recieved this error with the PCLinuxOS live-cdComment
