Install USB Phone adapter on Fiesty?

I have a USB Phone Adapter made by PhoneConnector, that allows the use of any common telephone for Skype. Can anyone recommend a driver that will enable the USB adapter, and a procedure for adding USB devices to a functioning system? I'm more accustomed to Plug-n-play, and have never added a hardware device after the initial Linux OS install. It's easier if the device preexists at the time of install so the OS can recognize it.

    Thanks!

What is the best USB phone or adapter to use with Kubuntu? It appears that driver support for USB phones is scarce for Kubuntu.

    Thanks....
