Moving Kubuntu From One Hard Drive to Another Without Re-Install?

I have two hard drives. Hard drive "A" has two partitions - Windows XP and Suse 10.2. Hard drive "B" has Kubuntu only. Hard drive "B" is only 20 gigs so I want to do the following:

    (1) Delete the partion on hard drive "A" that contains Suse. Windows partition will not be erased (for now).
    (2) Move Kubuntu from hard drive "B" onto hard drive "A" without having to reinstall all my modules and programs.
    (3) Use Kubuntu as my main OS while leaving Windows alone and use hard drive "B" as extra storage.

Can this be done? If so, how? Please, I'm a complete Noob with Linux and not great with Windows so please take it easy on me.

    Thanks,
    M

    I would use Gparted.

Gnome Partition Editor (Yes - it works in the Kubuntu)
    http://gparted.sourceforge.net/
GParted is an industrial-strength package for creating, destroying, resizing, moving, checking and copying partitions, and the filesystems on them. This is useful for creating space for new operating systems, reorganizing disk usage, copying data residing on hard disks and mirroring one partition with another (disk imaging).
    Note
    It is in the repositories.

    (2) Move Kubuntu from hard drive "B" onto hard drive "A" without having to reinstall all my modules and programs.
This is how i did (do) it.

Hmm - do you mean that Kubuntu would start as default. If so:

Thanks for the responses. I'll give that a try.

        And so...successfully? I'm interesting too...

Re: Moving Kubuntu From One Hard Drive to Another Without Re-Install?

Actually...no. I decided it would take less time for this Linux Noob to do it the old fashion way. I simply disconnected the "old" drive and reinstalled Kubuntu on the new drive. The old drive is still unplugged and will remain so until I get a chance to delete the partion.

I'm sure the methods explained to me would work just fine but I did not have time to learn all the Linux lingo that went along with it. The brute force method worked for me.

I hope you have better luck.
