Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 2200BG is not working

    Dear all,
I have HP pavilion ze2000 laptop, with Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 2200BG wireless network, the wireless adapter is not working and wireless LED is not lighting. I don't know, it maybe working but I can't search for a wireless network.

    lspci | grep Wireless outputs:
02:06.0 Network controller: Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 2200BG Network Connection (rev 05)
    Thanks

Re: Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 2200BG is not working

Since wireless switch is implemented differently among laptop manufacturers, not all switch will work automatically.

I am using Acer, the wireless switch led is on all the time, pressing the switch does nothing. However the wireless is actually on and working all the time. To make the switch works, some hacking is necessary which I don't bother.

However, here is a good post from Ubuntu forum to guide you in setting up wireless connection:

      Hope it helps
