USB microphone help

I am trying to get my USB Logitech microphone to work.
I would like to use it for Skype and other voice uses.
Just doesnt seem to configure and I thought I had settings correctly set.

I am having the same problem - Does the Headseat also have the regular jacks? Mine has a USB dongle that the headset plugs into.
USB functions did not work, but plugged them into the system directly - worked like a charm.

No, mine is just a usb.
I am going to buy a regular plug head set. I see from other posters that that kind should work...
