    Can't shut down properly

    Hi,

I managed to get Feisty running nicely on my generic Clevo with Intel 915GM chipset; in fact, even Hibernate works. However, I have this strange condition whenever I try to shut down. Sometimes it will just go black screen and then nothing happens.

I never had this problem when I was running Ubuntu Edgy.

Anything I can do to remedy this issue?

    Thanks

    Eric

Try adding the line "TerminateServer=true" to /etc/kde3/kdm/kdmrc under the section [X-:*-Core]. You'll need to edit as root, i.e. run "kdesu kate /etc/kde3/kdm/kdmrc".
    For external use only.

I am also having problems with shut down in feisty. I can shut down ok if I press the shutdown button appears. If I wait any time I am unable to shut down. It goes through the process with the screen going blank but the pc is left running. Anybody have any ideas.
      Cheers
      Bob
