Odd problem

Upgraded from Edgy and have one small problem. My mouse is too fast. I can get use to the pointer being faster but the scroller is almost not usable. I can literally scroll very long page with one little flick. on boot up, there is some error about the mouse but its too fast to see what it is.

What file do i need to edit to fix this?

You can try in system settings to adjust mouse acceleration/threshhold/etc, but you may need to peek at your xorg.conf and see if your mouse is the correct type. Imps/2 is for most generic scroll mice, sometimes I see ExplorerPS/2, as mine is, maybe try one or the other unless you have something fancy

you can view various logs in ksytemlog which may show what the error is, xorg log is probably the one, you can use the filter to quickly find a keyword

The changes in system settings didnt do anything for it. The xorg.conf looks fine from what i can see. I am going to see if i can check the error log like you suggest... and maybe switch out the mouse to see if that helps.
