I'm having a similar problem as Sonofmoog. I tried to remove Skype, but there was an error. Now, it's still in Synaptic as "marked for removal," but I get an error every time I try to remove it or add a new package. I've tried to reinstall, but I get an error then too. I've tried "dpkg --remove --force-all skype" but, I get this error: "Package is in a very bad inconsistent state - you should reinstall it before attempting a removal." Is there anything I can do to get rid of this? Thank you.
- If you have copied text output that contains formatting (colors, highlighting, etc.), please do not enclose it in QUOTE or CODE tags. Just right-click your mouse and choose "Paste Without Formatting" or similar (Paste as plain text).
