    kde logout sequence / skype

    Hello,

can anybody tell me, what exactly happens, when I hit the "logout" button in kde or where I can find some information?

To be more precise: When I logout while skype is running, the only thing that happens is, that the skype main window is closed. (Skype keeps running) After some searching the only thing I know is, that it seems to be skype's mistake. (No explanation was given.) So maybe I can't fix skype, but it should be possible to start a script at the start of logout, which kills skype, so logout isn't stopped ...

    Thanks
    Stephan

Re: kde logout sequence / skype

    Stephan,

on one of the KDE mailing lists I found an interesting thread on a topic similar to yours. The method of resolution provided there is to create an "autostop" folder of sorts, more precisely: /home/[user]/.kde/shutdown , and cram some scripts into it ... 8)

Thanks, but this won't work: The files in /home/[user]/.kde/shutdown are executed after ksmserver has closed the session. But in my case, this never happens as skype somehow keeps the session running.
