    Firefox can't connect to Internet

I am having problems with Firefox that I haven't had before. I have USB wireless and I can connect and surf just fine with Konqueror. I can't seem to keep a connection with Firefox. I tried deleting the 'Firefox' dirtectory in my .mozilla directory. That works for a little while. However, it only works for a few seconds. Then I tried deleting the entire .mozilla directory. That works for a few seconds and then I can't connect to the internet again. I'm not sure how to solve this problem and I would be most grateful for any assistance anyone could provide.

unsure if this will be of help but its worth a try ...

open FF top bar edit > preferences > general > connection settings

change from direct connection to auto detect proxy settings for this network

you may have to close and restart FF to see if this works ...

I've solved this problem. Here's what I had to do:

      1. In the address bar, type "about:config"
      (without the quotes).
      2. In the filter bar, type "IPV6" (without the
      quotes).
      3. Right click on the "disable" line and select
      "toggle" to set to true.
      4. Close & restart Firefox. You should now be
able to access the web with no problems.

My thanks to everyone for their assitance with this issue.
