I'm relatively new to Kubuntu (and Linux) and find myself in front of a serious problem: the sound system on my Acer notebook did work perfectly with the latest Kubuntu kernel version, but after I installed Skye, the sound device does no longer work! However, I'm unable to say, if the problem only appeared after I had installed Skype, but that's the first problem I noticed it! Can anybody please give me a suggestion...
I have already tried to re-install several sound packages (including amarok, juk, etc.), but KMix is unable to activate PCM (there is no green dot under the PCM logo, but it allows me to mute and unmute the other sources). I'm currently unable to find a solution for this problem. Could anybody help me out?
