    Re: kubuntu repository dont work?

    Hi,

It's because kde 3.5.6 is not ported on dapper, I don't think it will be as it would ask too many changes...
So because of this, or you remove these repos from your /etc/apt/sources.list and stay in kde 3.5.5, or you upgrade to edgy (big question)

    Hope it answer your question

For upgrading from Kubuntu 7.04 to 7.10 I tried something else. Apparently, you have to change your repositories by opening a Terminal. Then type this:

      cd /etc/apt
      sudo kate sources.list

It will open the Kate Text Editor with the "sources.list" file in super user mode. Delete everything in the file and add this:

      deb http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu feisty-commercial main

Save the file, exit Kate Text Editor and in the terminal remove the "sources.list~" which is the backup copy of the now modified list:

      sudo rm sources.list~

Go to K-Menu>System>Adept Manager and click on the Fetch Updates
It will go through the entire process and then it will enable the button that shows "Distribution Upgrade."
Click that and you are home free with some messages telling you that some apps are not supported any longer.
