    Internet Connection Problem! Do Help!

    I AM UNABLE TO CONNECT TO THE INTERNET? I GET THE FOLLOWING MESSAGES!!!



    The pppd daemon died unexpectedly!
    Exit status: 1
    See 'man pppd' for an explanation of the error codes or take a look at the kppp FAQ on http://developer.kde.org/~kppp/index.html


    Apr 24 04:23:07 khan-desktop pppd[6301]: The remote system is required to authenticate itself
    Apr 24 04:23:07 khan-desktop pppd[6301]: but I couldn't find any suitable secret (password) for it to use to do so.
    Apr 24 04:23:07 khan-desktop pppd[6301]: (None of the available passwords would let it use an IP address.)


    Unable to provide help.

    Go to KMenu > Help > Application Manuals > Internet > KPPP > Questions and Answers (Chapter 10). I believe the second entry in that chapter titled "pppd died - The remote system is required to authenticate itself ..." (10.1.2) might help you.
