I have a HP PSC750, printer and scanner.
I can install it with foomatic drivers, but Kooka and Xsane can't see the scanner.
I can't install other drivers (?)
Is there anyone who can help me?
I found the solution on anFrench Ubuntuforum. Here I qoute:
j'ai la solution à ton prblème.
sudo apt-get install xsane libsane-extras hpoj
sinon tu peux passer par aptitude en console. Je préfère ce programme à synaptic.
Ensuite tu décommente hpoj dans le fichier /etc/sane.d/dll.conf en faisant sudo vi /etc/sane.d/dll.conf
supprime le # devant hpoj puis tape echap :wq! pour enregistrer tes modifications.
Dernière chose à faire sudo /etc/init.d/hpoj setup et suis les instructions.
Normalement ton scan devrait être reconnu.
lance xsane il doit être prêt à numériser.
