headphones intermittent on 82801G chipset

Hi all

Sounds works fine on my Dell Inspiron 9400, *except*

If I suspend to disk and then restart, my headphones refuse to work and sound always comes from the internal speakers. If I reboot its ok again.

Has anyone come across this before, and found a solution/workaround?
