What hardware to use for DSL?

Kubuntu sees my eth0 but not the internet. It seems the problem must be the DSL device I'm using. It's designed to work with Windows.

Any suggestions for new network hardware I can buy that Kubuntu will recognize would be appreciated. I just want to avoid buying a new router/DSL unit and still not being able to get online.

    Hello,

If you have a router it doesn't matter if you have windows, linux mac... if it's designed for windows probably you have a modem.

Any way, if you have a router and your ethernet card is up, check your ethernet/router configuration.
