Midi on my Intel ICH6 SOund Card is OFF

How do I turn it on?
Hi everyone, I have an ACer Aspire 5510WLMi Notebook computer. Allmost everything is working with Kubuntu dapper drake, even the battery meter and I'm very pleased of it.

But I've got a midi problem. Midi simply doesn't seem to exist. If I run KInfoCenter I have this infos available on my sound card:

    midi: not enabled in config

Why is this? How do I modify this value? Even in Kmixer or alsamixer I have no midi volume control or midi switch to turn on. Why is that? It looks like Kubuntu doesn't notice I have a sound card capable of midi playback. If I turn kmid on I get this error message:

cannot open /dev/sequencer to get informations
maybe another program is using it

I looked for /dev/sequencer and it doesn't exist, infact.
    What can I do?
