Core Duo

Hi,

I have a problème with Kubuntu 6.06. It doesn't recognize the core duo (T2300).
In KinfoCenter, I can see only one processor.

How can we do to have the second processor ?

Hi,

You should change your kernel for something like linux-image-...-i686...SMP
Then you will have something optimized for bi procesor and P4...

You can find a package like this by this command :
apt-get update
apt-cache search linux-image
When you've found the one you'd like, then
apt-get install <your_kernel>

Then reboot on it, and check again, it should seen as biproc...

I do this : "sudo apt-get install linux-image-2.6.15-23-686" and now the 2nd processor work.
