    [Post-Install] firefox snap version question

On my desktop have a vanilla 25.10 install (let's call it Alice) that I rarely boot into, and a tiny PC (Bob) that is similarly vanilla.

Today I noticed that the version of firefox on Alice was 147.0.2, compared to Bob which is 148.0.

On Alice, sudo snap info firefox said:
    Code:
    ...
    tracking: latest/stable-ubuntu-25.10
    ...
    installed: 147.0.2-1
    and on Bob
    Code:
    ...
    tracking: latest/stable-ubuntu-25.10
    ...
    installed: 148.0-1
On Alice I ran sudo snap refresh firefox --channel=latest/stable and now there's 148.0 there, but I'd like to know what was going on; why was Alice behind, though tracking the same release?

You rarely boot into Alice. You use Bob more frequently, so FF there would see updates more frequently.

I wonder what sort of update timer or schedule is used.

I should have mentioned, I had run sudo snap refresh on Alice first, and it did nothing.

snap store rolls out new releases in stages ,and different times of day (usually 4 times/day)
sudo snap refresh firefox --channel=latest/stable forces a refresh and bypasses the rollout delay
