No notice for upgrade to 21.04

Hi, I wonder why I do not get a notification with the software updater that a new version is available? In the setting I tried "any new version" and LTS version, but nothing.
    Thank you

20.04 is an LTS, so the default setting is to only prompt for the next LTS. This can be changed to prompt for normal releases, though.
    https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Gr...o_.27normal.27.

BUT, you can't skip releases. You would have to upgrade to 20.10 first, then upgrade *again* to 21.04. Not really worth the time and potential risk doing this back-to-back.

Sorry, maybe there is a misunderstanding, as my issue is about 21.04 and not as you mentioned 20.04 I have already 20.10 installed.

But you have posted this in the 20.04 section........

But part of the reason for your issue is that there was a bug in the upgrade process for a small number of people so they did not initially enable upgrades. Not quite sure if this has been officially fixed and upgrades turned on at this moment. However one can start the upgrade manually

There is a thread on this in the 21.04 section

Try to 'force' it, as I described at the end of that thread

Some times, it just does not work on a few people's systems.

Plus, it seems that they may have just turned on upgrades within the past few hour, so people may be getting notifications within the next few days, if not sooner.
The thread I posted in comment #4 above mentions the bug, with links. This is what stopped Ubuntu from enabling upgrades for a bit.

K/Ubuntu releases occur in April (nn.04) and October (nn.10), near the end of the month. It's usually wise to go to sites like https://kubuntu.org/getkubuntu/ and check at the source for instructions, variations, impediments, recommendations. KFN has the experience, but from time to time releases have some "secrets" that must be dealt with.

Take this advice with a grain of salt, since I only do LTS, and always do clean install, both always save me time and minimize aggravation

But of course Kubuntu never did make a notice on the website or release notes
