    Kubuntu 20.10 download link problem

I went to the download page to see why muon wasn't offering to upgrade from 20.04 to 20.10 yet and found this: Kubuntu 20.10 release notes (currently not available due to wiki login problems)
I wonder what is the problem and when is estimated to get fixed if known?

I am building a new computer -desktop-, and will probably do a fresh install. It's going to be a nice gaming rig so I can play Star Citizen. 64G DDR4 very fast memory, fast I7, etc...
Just to remind users and devs that Ubuntu and its flavors have a long way to go to be as usr friendly as they should be.

20.04 is LTS, so you won't get 20.10 notifications unless you change the upgrade settings in the Software Sources tool.
If you have, and it still is not happening, could be a bug. This from my experience is not uncommon, so using the usual command line option used for Kubuntu upgrades over the years will work.

I had forgotten I had done a fresh install and needed to adjust the setting. It still doesn't work so something must be wrong on the Kubuntu server side. That currently not available due to wiki login problems may have something to do with it.

The following command in krunner dosen't work either:
          Code:
          pkexec do-release-upgrade -m desktop -f DistUpgradeViewKDE
          No error messages.

No it's Ubuntus servers, remember, and is not connected to a wiki login. They control when upgrades get enabled. Sometimes the notification to upgrade simply doesn't register on some systems. It can happens on all *buntus sometimes , it is why many how-tos include command line methods.

I'll also wager that the OS does not check for upgrades more than once a day if not less often. I believe that this is also completely independent from normal updates (via apt or discover).

I'll try again tommorw to get it to work. I checked and the fastes update is once a day. Maybe that's all it is. I did try manualy updating but maybe that only works for updates to the existing system.

Just tried muon again and it does't show the upgrade.

I just started the update using,
                    Code:
                    steve7233@steve7233-Z68XP-UD3:~$ pkexec do-release-upgrade -m desktop -f DistUpgradeViewKDE
. The update is running but I think the display is slightly bugged.
Unfortunately, the file uploader isn't working. Apparently due to a kioslave bug in Ubuntu 20.04. The picture says upgrading from 20.04.1 to 20.04! I am going to assume that is an error and it's really upgrading to 20.10. I will post whether it works or not when it's finished.
