[SOLVED] Libre Office 7.x menues are off

I had to install libre office 7.x via PPA to get some documents received from MS office working properly.

after installation i remember that sytstem offered some libre office qt libraries no longer needed and they were removed in the autoremove. i dont' know when it started doing this, but it did work well before even after the autoremove.

i installed libreoffice-qt5 but it doesn't help. the menues look strange as if all was on some non GPU accelerated desktop. i am using kde1 or windows 95. what is causing this? what do i need to add to the install?

attached a screenshot of how it all looks like.

Do you have the libreoffice-kf5 package installed? This is the one you want. Or at least the libreoffice-gtk3 package. The libreoffice-kde or-kde5 will also cause the desired -kf5 package to be installed.

      Well that was fast.
looks like libreoffice-kde5 resolved it. i used qt5 as i found solution for gnome where gtk is needed, but i never thought it kde here not qt. probbaly gtk over there is meant for gnome desktop package,
