Installing goobook

I want to access my google contacts and see that goobook is recomended.
Instalation is fine but when I attemp to register:-
$ goobook authenticate
I get :-
This app has not yet been verified by Google in order to use Google Sign in.

Any advice would be welcome

The error message is accurate - the developer has to have the app verified, and this has not happened yet (or it has lapsed. and very likely the version in 18.04 is old (over 5 years old. , and no longer verified. You will need to find a newer version, as th

Quickly googling for this command line tool., I found the gitlab page for it https://gitlab.com/goobook/goobook , and from there I found their Google Groups page https://gitlab.com/goobook/goobook.
