How to have ' open with...media player ' icon on dolphin's toolbar ?

I use SMPlayer as my default media player but from time to time I need to use VLC media player as well.

The only way to open a file directly with a media player that is not the default media player is by using the right click menu.

Is there a way to get that "open with ..." option on the Menubar or as an icon on the Toolbar ?

To see if there is an option, you have to go to Dolphin's menu, and then check out the Configure Toolbars section. There you can add/remove buttons. However, there is not such an option there, at least in the latest version, and I will guess that this will hold true for Dolphin in Plasma 5.12.
Someone would have to code this and patch the file manager, I think. Most people find the right-click option more efficient, and this part is actually quite customizable.
