Trouble extracting .tar.bz2 file

I get:-

No suitable plugin found. Ark does not seem to support this file type.

When trying to extract a file.
Can any one help?

Where did the file come from? Can you get another copy, to see if it perhaps is corrupted?
What is the file name, at least the extension(s)?

I can confirm that Ark handles .tar.bz2s "out of the Dolphin" here.
So maybe, as claydoh says, some problem with that particular file?

It also might be part of a multi-volume set, though I would assume the error message might indicate this. But we all know the rule about assuming
