Installing 32 bit Librarys

I thought Linux fixed things faster than Micro Cough soft.

The recent update fixed some things but there are still two dependency problems:

Why does this forum so often tell me:

Your submission could not be processed because the token has expired.

I have to copy my submission -It won't remember it-, then scroll to the top of the page and click on software support to go back to the list of submissions -refreshing the tab never works-, then find my post then click on it. Then paste my submission back in the reply window and then it will be excepted. I suspect it is a time out login problem. What a hassle. Why can't it just relogg my user like firefox does when you back out to the previous page?

When you log in, are you checking the box that says 'Remember me' (or similar) that is below your login prompt? This sets a session cookie on your PC, and prevents session timeout from occurring.

Thanks, Snowhog. I logged out and logged back in checking to remember me. I was just letting FF remember my log in. Hopefully, it works now. Of course, I wouldn't allow even FF to remember me on a public or work computer. I am a bacholor so at home it's fine.

This Grammarly FF add-on sure makes me look smatter. I am a terrible speller and lousy at grammar and punctuation. This plugin catches much of that even without subscribing to the pro version. It even Catches Snowhog's errors! I don't mess with his errors. Just pointing out that it catches them.

My resolution is now 1080 X 1024, NVIDIA-configuration tool does not work and there is No 3d acceleration! Let's see what kinfocenter says:



VMware?? I don't have VMware installed! What happened to NVIDIA?

I wish there was a way to list apt history so I could see what happened.
I remembered I could press up arrow to see if I misstyped any thing:

No typos. Why did it install the wrong driver? I never knew apt to do anything other than what the user told it to do.

Mistakes were made

I am behind a firewall at the moment so my Google-fu is curtailed but I will bet that your card needs a legacy driver and won't work on the latest and greatest.

Seems I am mistaken, the latest and greatest driver should work fine on your card.

If I were you I would;

a) ensure I have 32-bit enabled; sudo dpkg --add-architecture i386
b) remove the graphics PPA (this step might not be needed)
c) let the built in driver software search for and find the suitable driver and install it (it should be either the 304 series or the 340 series)
d) Lutris (which is awesome and works like a charm)

Anyone know how I can fix my broken system? Even If I can't get the 396.54 driver If I can at least get back to the 390.87 driver at least I will be back to when I got up this morning. By the way Netflix looks terrible with no aceleration. Lol.

No audio, Muon shows the Nvidia-driver-396 files as installed. Driver manger shows me as using the navu driver. It also shows the 390 driver as recommended. It doesn't show the 396 driver. Either the 396 driver is broken or the 396 package is broken. At least on my system.

Of course, no addon works very well if the user doesn't notice the red line. For some reason when Grammarly draws a red line it's a bit off from where the error actually is. Not hard to figure out though. By the way Grammerly says you misspelled bachelor.
