messing up desktops and panel with dual monitor

Hi all, when I start my kubuntu I don't have my desktop on my primary monitor, and no panel on the bottom is showing. To get things work I need to run kbuildsycoca5 && kquitapp plasmashell && kstart plasmashell.
I was thinking about make to a script to run that at startup, but it doesn't seem like an elegant solution to me.
