    [SOLVED] Valve Software's Steam Kills Desktop Effects/Panel?

    Hi,

    When I run Valve Software's Steam Linux client
    desktop effects and the panel both break?
    (rebooting restores operation)

    Any work-around for the above?

    Rebooting? Can't you just log out and log back in?

      I found a work-around, thanks!
      (I can run AppGameKit 2 IDE directly without running Steam)
