Scrolling disabled in Konsole - how to enable?

My Konsole terminal window seems to have changed its behavior lately. I have lost all access to the scroll bar and to scrolling.

It lets me view exactly one window of output. I cannot scroll back to previous output. And the amount I can see is dependent on the size of my terminal window. If I enlarge a small window, all I can see is what was displayed in the smaller window.

If I take a large window full of output, and downsize it, when I re-enlarge it, any output not visible in the smaller window is gone.

Another recent unexpected change is that my mouse wheel scrolls through previously entered commands,

This has made terminal use really frustrating for me, especially when testing code.

How do I re-enable normal scrolling in Konsole?

    I solved this.

Evidently one of the updates must have pushed a change to my default profile in Konsole.

The way to fix it is to go to Settings: Edit Current Profile: Scrolling and select an option other than "no scrollback"
