[DESKTOP] No Network access just after upgrade to 18.04 from 16.04

    Hi,
Already 3 days i'm trying to find a solution to my issue. Since the upgrade to 18.04, i can not have access to the network, neither through cable nor Wifi. I've tried different solutions from forums but i'm sticked to the same status. The network is detected by the computer but when i clean on connect, the connection failed during the step 'network adress definition"
when I've tried to restart the network connection :
    sudo ifconfig enp2s0 down
    sudo ifconfig enp2s0 up
    sudo dhclient enp2s0

    I have got a segfault

Any idea from your side to help me please.

    Thanks very much in advance.

I'm not sure if this idea qualifies... but it needs to said IMO.

You're likely better with a clean install (after good backups!). At the least, I suggest downloading the latest 18.04 iso (somehow, hard to do with no internet), putting on a USB stick or DVD, booting from it and choosing "Try Kubuntu" to check if networking works.
    Regards, John Little

it would help if we knew your hardware, what network card and what wifi card is in your machine?

Also what does the output of rfkill list command in a terminal show?

you could also try adding a new user and seeing if the problem affects the new user as well , then if it works in the new users acct you could assume that the problem is in your configs
