    Bluetooth mouse disconnects

I upgraded from 17.04 to 17.10. As far as I can tell everything worked, no errors.
Only my Microsoft Sculpt bluetooth mouse stops working after a few seconds, as soon as my wifi connects. If I stay with cable network, the mouse works without problems.

It works on the logon screen.
It works _before_ wifi is connected.
Then is suddenly stops working as soon as wifi connects.

    dmesg says:
[ 21.477081] Bluetooth: HIDP (Human Interface Emulation) ver 1.2
[ 21.477091] Bluetooth: HIDP socket layer initialized
    [ 21.480665] hid-generic 0005:045E:07A2.0001: unknown main item tag 0x0
[ 21.480842] input: Microsoft Sculpt Comfort Mouse as /devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:14.0/usb1/1-3/1-3:1.0/bluetooth/hci0/hci0:256/0005:045E:07A2.0001/input/input23

The plasma bluetooth applet shows the mouse as connected and offers the disconnect button. Disconnecting and then connecting again does not work.

    sudo service bluetooth stop
    sudo service bluetooth start
... makes the mouse work for a minute or so, then it stops working again
On the service start, it logs the following in /var/log/syslog:
    Oct 21 17:47:58 tahoe kernel: [ 2260.492443] hid-generic 0005:045E:07A2.0003: unknown main item tag 0x0

When it stops working, no entry is made.

Anyone an idea how I can fix this? It worked smoothly in Kubuntu 17.04.

    Hardware:
Tuxedo laptop with WLAN & Bluetooth card: Intel Dual AC 8265 & Bluetooth (M.2 2230)

The only difference to 17.04: The tuxedocomputer.com repositories are not active, since there is no artful branch yet.

    Any help is highly appreciated.

I know it’s an obvious question, but have you checked/replaced the batteries in the mouse?

Batteries are full, but I tried also fresh ones, same behavior. But thanks for asking.
