    LibreOffice 5.4.5 and libreoffice-kde

I just got the 5.4.5 update for LibreOffice. If I have libreoffice-kde installed (UI render: default; VCL: kde4, the menu dropdowns and the toolbar area, etc don't look the way they do in other KDE applications or like they did in 5.4.4.

The first image is for LibreOffice with libreoffice-kde installed.
The second image is of okular which is a kde4 application.

    If I uninstall libreoffice-kde, LibreOffice uses gtk2.
    Attached Files
    Kubuntu 20.04

Is LibreOffice crashing on you when you attempt to open any file type?
Using Kubuntu Linux since March 23, 2007

No! It's just the appearance that's off. I've changed to using libreoffice-gtk2.

BTW, I've installed 6.0.1 on my Bionic (in VBox) from https://launchpad.net/~libreoffice/+...ibreoffice-6-0 and that comes with both libreoffice-kde and libreoffice-kde4. Looking nice

I'm still less than thrilled with libreoffice-kde. Have 6.0.1 installed on my laptop running Plasma 5.12.1, which has a hi-dpi display. Interface was pretty awful so I'm using GTK with LO. Seems to work much better for me.

BTW, I just updated Bionic again and was told that libreoffice-kde could be autoremoved. So it's gone. Now, there's only libreoffice-kde4.

          @wizard10000, is that gtk2 or gtk3?

My laptop screen is a simple 1366x768; the kde interface isn't bad on that.

I'm using GTK2. Seems to work well.

I see the problem also. I have 17.10 with backports. Opens files ok though.

I'm going to try LibreOffice 6 on my Kubuntu 16.04. That comes with libreoffice-kde4.

It didn't. I had to install it.
I also recreated ~/.config/libreoffice to get rid of some screen glitches.

I just installed the update and now it looks fine and also the crash I was getting when trying to save a big spreadsheet file has gone.
