fish not working on Dolphin

I can log in to my server on Dolphin with sftp, but not with fish, which I used to use. Its not a problem for me but I would like to know what the official status is. Is fish deprecated for Dolphin?

I don't think so. It is working fine for me, though I am not on a 16.04 era Dolphin.

My desktop and laptop are 17.10 Kubuntu with backports. My server is 16.04.3 Ubuntu. fish seems to be working fine logging into my desktop from my laptop. I know dolphins are not fish, but as to the difference between fish and sftp, I have no idea.
