I upgraded Kubuntu 14.04 to 16.04 and after fixing some problems with the gfx card, it seems to boot fine. However I have a Plasma issue in that I cannot get it to start with the Desktop set to Folder View (where my icons live). I go to Desktop Preferences->Folder View, Apply and all my icons appear. However, when I logout and login again, the Desktop is now set to view the Desktop again, not the Folder View.
Please some help with this as it is driving me insane.
