    did clean install

the FrankenBuntu-16.04 ,,,,,,the one that was 15.10 "do-release-upgrade -d" up to 16.04 had a lot of quirks so I have done a clean install over it .

so far so good ,I used the daily http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/kubuntu/daily-live/current/ ,,,,,,19-mar.

spectacle works and uses the "PrtSc" button .

no sining key errors with http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu as the source .

dkms and nvidia-361.28 installed and working .

software properties can be opened in "plasma-discover"

screen shot of the default install with an external screen active

now to go mucking about ,,,,,or customizing as it were

    Nice. Keep us updated.

I can say the Live USB I'm using from February still runs well so I can only imaging how today's image should be. Sounds very polished and encouraging!

for dropbox icon to show in the system tray ,,,,additional packages are still required

installed dropbox_2015.10.28_amd64.deb ,,,,install was fine and worked , but no icon in the system tray .

OK install libappindicator1 and libappindicator3-1 ,,,,witch will pull in some more .

            reboot

I have two installs running on the same hardware and each has it's own idiosyncrasies.

On the first I can't run Skype, no error message if started from the CLI, just eats up 100% of one CPU thread.
Impossible to get Google Earth installed or running, keeps throwing out the Dutch language file (kde-l10n-nl) with the alternative to uninstall Plasma Desktop.

The other has a good working Skype, Google Earth works but doesn't display the Panoramio photo's and has the same language pack problem.

But asside from the mentioned issues it's pretty solid, especially the Intel/nVidia behaviour is better than 15.10.

I installed from the daily a couple days ago on a spare partition. So far so good with a few expected quirks (mostly my own).
Opinions are like rear-ends, everybody has one. Here's mine. (|)
