Desktop single or double click action

Under prior releases, I've been able to set desktop mouse response for double click to start an "app".
I cannot find this option under 16.04...

Does anyone know where this option might be set? Or if it even exists.

Yes, I know it is "windows-like" but I prefer the double-click to start something.

Have you tried System Settings > Input Devices > Mouse Controls > Icons > Double-click to open files and folders?

@mparillo, that works for apps like Dolphin, but not on the Desktop itself. The icons on my desktop still need only one click to run.
      Thanks.
