    Suspend but no Hibernate option

    Hi,
I've the latest kubuntu and it has the Suspend option but no Hibernate.

pm-utils are installed and pm-hibernate works.

The reason I really need it is that suspend does not resume correctly (an AMD chip), but the radeaon driver seems to work.

    Any help appreciated,
    CPH

Hibernate has been so spotty, buggy and difficult over the years that Ubuntu disables it by default. The link above shows how to test it, and to permanently enable it.

      Hi Claydoh,
Thanks for that, but I should have mentioned that this is already set. Any other reason why Hibernate is is visible in plasma ?

      Thanks,

I just followed the instructions in the Ubuntu help page above, and I sure enough do have the hibernate options once I rebooted.
