    Slow start-up and flickering screen

I would suggest you start by clearing 'all' of the system caches, both root and user, then rebooting.

I ran this coodes and the flickering sceen is gone!

      Code:
      sudo sh -c 'echo 1 >/proc/sys/vm/drop_caches'
      sudo sh -c 'echo 2 >/proc/sys/vm/drop_caches'
      sudo sh -c 'echo 3 >/proc/sys/vm/drop_caches'
The start-up time may be a little better!

Good. The 'problem' with upgrading, is existing cache contents are retained, but system utilities/processes are new, and the two conflict. Clearing the caches often fixes these issues. At least, that's my story (and experience) and I'm sticking to it!

          Hi
I still experience flickering screen today. It seems to be the panel and Plasma flickering and the logg out - close screen.

I am experiencing this problem too. I have a dual intel/nvidia gpu. It happens only with the intel card. Everything is fine with the nvidia card.

I still experience flickering screen. When I enable / dis enable the Intel driver it stops for some minutes and start flickering again.
Anyone have a solution for me?

My intel systems are fine, so I can't say what works best, but check this out:

Seems that the lastest kernel update fixes the problem. More testing is resquesting though
