    Can't read USB external drive

    Hi all.
I'm having trouble trying to access an USB drive using Dolphin. Up until last week I had had no problems but suddenly I find that Dolphin can't seem to read the files i it and only shows the three main folders. The drive's LED keeps blinking as Dolphin tries to find the files and the system freezes. All I can do is close Dolphin and even so I have to wait until the system tells me that it seems to be busy and it offers me to close it anyway or keep waiting.
I can't think of anything I have changed in the system or done to the drive to cause this behaviour. It seats all day at home and I didn't drop it or anything.
Dolphin works OK with other drives so I assume the problem must be in this particular one. It's a 1 TB model from Toshiba. I have lots of data inside I would hate to lose.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance!

Use the KDE partition manager to check and possibly repair the drive.

Be aware, you'll have to unmount it for a full check and you will be prompted to do so.
