Upgading from 15.04 with 4G mobile teathered

Hi

I have tried upgrading from 15.04 to 15.10 without eth but through my teathered 4G connection.

This just throws me errors halfway through.

Can I use a USB daily iso with a teatered 4G connection?

ok, tried upgrading again following this:

https://help.ubuntu.com/community/WilyUpgrades/Kubuntu

Downloading packages went fine.

Unpacking stalled at unpacking sane....

After that updater was not responsive, so I now have a semi-installed upgrade.

How can I rescue this from the rescue boot option?

sudo dpkg --configure -a
And
sudo apt-get -f install

The first attempts to install and configure any packages not installed, or partially installed.

The second checks if there are any missing packages that didn't get pulled in

Hi Claydoh, been a while.

Thanky for that. It worked, although I hade to go to recovery mode twice as:

sudo dpkg --configure -a

Was not finishing completely

Then I was able to log in to the desktop, connect to wif and do:

sudo apt-get -f install

After reboot I had a nice desktop. Just hope it is mor stable than 15.04 was with video editing and FF.
