    Won't boot on Kernel 4.1

Since the upgrade, my laptop refuses to boot on kernel 4.0 and 4.1. It just freezes at the Kubuntu logo which stops glowing.

If i boot with kernel 3.x, it works fine.

you can check the logs at "/var/log/boot.log

and the type of hardware may help as well.

What about 4.2.0, do the current kernels in Wily boot?

All seems ok in /var/log/boot since i guess it is overriden on each boot except for this part:

[ OK ] Started Network Manager Script Dispatcher Service.
[FAILED] Failed to start Network Manager Wait Online.
See 'systemctl status NetworkManager-wait-online.service' for details.
[ OK ] Reached target Network is Online.
Starting LSB: start Samba NetBIOS nameserver (nmbd)...
        Starting LSB: Apache2 web server...
Starting LSB: Tool to automatically collect

It doesn't boot on any kernel 4.2 too for now.

Have Dell 5547, core i7, ATI Radeon Graphics

BTW, I upgraded from previous version. It's not a clean install.

I'll try to get the results from boot log when it is in a crashed state
