Thanks very much for that. It looks as though I am a bit slow off the mark but at least it is a confirmed bug and something will be done about it.

I certainly hope that the KDE Plasma team improve the look and options for their widgets.

Has anyone tried adding a widget to the desktop, say "Calculator", and then delete it. On my system the clock stops, and there is a notification that is initially blank and then reports

Widget Removed
The widget "Calculator" has been removed.
Htop shows plasmashell using 100% of one processor. I timed this process at 1 min 25s. That is a lot of knitting to remove a widget.

I have searched for bug reports on this matter and found nothing. I would be interested to know if anyone else has this problem and if they know of any bug report - particularly claydoh who is on top of such detective work!
