Virtual Desktops do not retain apps

Version 14.10 always retained the applications that I had setup when I restarted my computer. Version 15.04 does not. When I restart I must either start the apps and place them in the VD that I had them in or I have to move them from desktop number one. Am I missing some setting?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Setting up Activities does not work either. i opened applications on two activities then restarted my computer. The apps were gone. I had to create everything again. Has anyone had this problem?

Can anyone tell me where I should look to get my information for virtual desktops? Has anyone else had this problem? Come on.

Presume you have System Settings - Startup Shutdown - Desktop Session option set to 'restore a saved session' on log-in?

Plus AIUI there is no option for desktops to have different pics - so possibly other options have gone as well.

Thanks Worzel. I have tried various System Settings with no luck. Also, I am not interested in different pics on each desktop. I hope that this will be resolved on an update soon.

Maybe its fixed in new plasma 5.3. You can get it from backports ppa
            Code:
            sudo apt-add-repository ppa:kubuntu-ppa/backports
            sudo apt-get update
            sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
            and then reboot.

Can confrm that, in my case, in Kubuntu 15.04 with Plasma 5.3 (installed via ppa backports), this issue is still present

There was another discussion about this recently -- either here or on the KDE forum (sadly, I can't recall at the moment, urgh). It's a known bug. Activities aren't saving state, either.

Retaining the apps in the desktop does not work even in Activities. This just does not seem like an upgrade that I would want. How is this better than version 14? A screensaver must be manually started each time the OS is started. How is this better than version 14?
