blur effect missing

I seem to be missing the blur-effect in the list of desktop effects.
It just isn't there.
Is there a way to get it back. Or do I just have to wait?
I hope this is not a structural decision

KDE system settings > Display and Monitor > Compositor




Some of the desktop effects need OpenGL.

Thank you! I will try that! At this moment I can't start Kubuntu plasma5. It comes no further than systemd.
But I'm sure this will be solved the coming days.

I booted plasma5 with the previous linux kernel.
And now I got the blur effect to work!
