Virtualbox will not boot Windows 7

After installing Kubuntu 14.10 Virtualbox will not boot Windows 7.
When I start in terminal this is the error:

per@per-kubuntu:~$ virtualbox
Qt WARNING: Bus:: open: Can not get ibus-daemon's address.

And this is how it looks:




Tried to google, but no solution.

This action is usually completely useless in Linux.


Have you looked on Virtualbox's forums?

per@per-kubuntu:~$ virtualbox
Qt WARNING: Bus:: open: Can not get ibus-daemon's address.

The above is an informational warning, and can be ignored - it is (slightly) relevant to the Vbox gui, but has nothing to do with the virtual machine itself.

'not working' is not specific enough to go by for us, so more specific info would be needed. I would still suggest looking for the experts over on the Vbox forums if someone here cannot help.

Do you have ibus installed?

ibus is only relevant to the gui for virutualbox, and then only if the user is trying to type in Chinese, Korean, Japanese, etc.
As I mentioned, this warning (not an error) can be ignored.

VirtualBox-4.3.18-96516-Linux_amd64.run

And now it works
