On Kubuntu 14.04 when the plymouth logo shows on startup no text was shown. If I wanted to see the kernel messages I could use F1 to switch between the kernel messages and the Plymouth logo.
Now on 14.10 and I see some kernel messages (just the warnings I think*) overlaying the logo. Also F1 doesn't do the switching anymore.
Anyone else seeing this.
* - This motherboard has always produced a couple of warnings but they are benign.
