Kontact/Akonadi won't start

    Kontact/Akonadi won't start

    I don't log into Kontact every day (I check mail on phone), but at least once or twice a week I log in to download the mail I want to save or to refer to saved mail. This morning I fired Kontact up and was met with: “Akonadi personal information management services is not operational”

    I am running Kubuntu 14.04 3.16.0-51 kernel, 32 bit. The Akonadi Server Self-Test Report is below. I tried to stop and then start Akonadi in Konsole with “akonadictl start” and got this result:
    “ProcessControl: Application 'akonadiserver' returned with exit code 255 (Unknown error) "akonadiserver" crashed too often and will not be restarted!”

    Any suggestions on how to proceed?
