Dolphin -- changed folder path for only one user

For an unknown reason, the view has changed for the original (installing) user, but not for a guest user. I will attempt to describe the issue.

Above the main window where you view the folders and files, there is a "> Home" in the default installation. On this system, the "> Home" has changed to the path "73.5 GiB Hard Drive > home > user"

We have tried deleting the ~/.kde/share/apps/dolphin directory and logging back in, but no joy. Can anyone advise how to reset it back to the default behavior?

    TIA!

Is the Dolphin settings > Configure Dolphin > Startup: 'Show full path inside location bar' on ?

    https://docs.kde.org/stable5/en/appl...g-dolphin.html
If Show full path inside location bar is enabled, the full path of the current location is shown in the bread crumb mode of the location bar. Otherwise, a shortened version of the path is shown if it begins with the path of one of the places in the Places panel.

    KDE configuration files

The KDE is saving the settings to the text files, with the dolphin to the dolphinrc.

    KDE4:

    Debian based:
    ~/.kde/share/config/dolphinrc
    Some distributions:
    ~/.kde4/share/config/dolphinrc

    KF5: http://standards.freedesktop.org/bas...ec-latest.html
$XDG_CONFIG_HOME defines the base directory relative to which user specific configuration files should be stored. If $XDG_CONFIG_HOME is either not set or empty, a default equal to $HOME/.config should be used.

No. We made sure that was not set.

However, I didn't find the dolphinrc file -- that might fix it.

      Thank you Rog!
