Desktop icon to execute run command?

Probably a simple question, but... I have a program that I can get to run only by using "Run Command" from the launcher menu. How can I set up a desktop icon to execute that run command?

One option would be to use the Quick Launcher widget. Right click on your desktop and select Unlock Widgets. On your panel, the small cashew mark will appear in one of the corners. Click it and choose Add Widgets from the bar that pops up. Find Quick Launcher and drag it up to your desktop. Right click on one of the default icons and click Edit Launcher. In the dialogue that pops up, you can enter the command you want to run and also choose an icon if you want.
