Kate & editors: Backup files looses original Date/Time information.

If creation of backup files is set (Kate -> Settings -> Open/Save -> Advanced ->Local Files checkbox), Kate makes a backup copy (file~).

When save edited file, the backup file SHOULD have Date/Time set to original values (before editing).

It does not! Both files now have actual Date/Time! This is WRONG!

Original file should be original at all! If editing something in /etc or else, original Date/Time could be an important information!

I believe this behasvior was changed some time ago. Before it was OK. So is it BUG?

It is not making a backup of the original, it is making a backup whenever the file is saved, so the timestamp is correct.
